Stacy | words & things.
This blog was started after a prolonged silence & an irreversible unravelling. A coming undone. It is an effort at pursuing respite – selah, if you will – after a long time of wandering & wondering. It is inspired by a quote from George Whitman, the quixotic & sadly deceased ex-owner of a bookstore in the left bank of Paris called Shakespeare & Company.
“Be not inhospitable to strangers, lest they be angels in disguise.”
We are all strangers here. I am.
“If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here”
As a curated space in constant flux, it will sometimes be stoic & sometimes whimsical; sometimes serious & sometimes quixotic. Mostly, it strives at being truthful. To whoever comes across it, you are welcome here. Come, contemplate; reclaim back the things that once brought joy.
